Miloš is the songwriter and producer behind SHMI, a dark pop and gothic alt-rock project shaped by cinematic atmosphere and emotionally direct songwriting. Based in Belgrade, he builds each release from the ground up, writing, arranging, recording, and producing in collaboration with live musicians and vocalists.
His songs often begin with something small but undeniable: a physical detail, an uncomfortable admission, or a moment that carries more weight than it first lets on. From there, he writes outward using concrete imagery, emotional restraint, and choruses that arrive only when the song has earned them. A line will sit unfinished for days before he allows it to stay.
Miloš treats the studio as part of the writing process. Arrangement, space, distortion, and silence are not decoration; they are part of what the song is trying to say.
He approaches SHMI without chasing trends or rushing the work. The aim is to create songs that reveal more of themselves and stay with the listener long after the first play.
